LA100 2.0
Official Rules
1. About the program
LA100 2.0 (the "Program") selects 100 women training for the 2027 Los Angeles Marathon to receive free training and nutrition coaching. Participants are chosen by a judging panel based on their written applications. Selection is not random.
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT IS NECESSARY TO APPLY OR BE SELECTED. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF SELECTION. This Program is a merit-based selection, not a sweepstakes or lottery. Void where prohibited.
By submitting an application, you agree to these Official Rules and to the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding.
2. Sponsor
The Program is sponsored and administered by Big Run Media LLC, doing business as Believe in the Run (the "Sponsor"), 907 S. Eaton St., Baltimore, MD 21224.
Applications are judged by the Sponsor together with its program partner, Featherstone Nutrition("Featherstone"), which also provides the nutrition coaching. The Program is presented with support from ASICS. ASICS does not judge applications or select participants.
3. Eligibility
To apply, you must meet all of the following at the time you submit your application:
- Be a woman 18 years of age or older.
- Be a legal resident of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia.
- Be available to run the 2027 Los Angeles Marathon on March 7, 2027. Applicants do not need to be registered for the race; selected participants receive a race bib.
- Be able to participate in the Program from November 16, 2026 through race day, including scheduled group calls.
Not eligible: employees, officers, and contractors of the Sponsor, Featherstone, ASICS, and their affiliated companies and agencies, plus their immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, children) and anyone living in their household. Participants in the first LA100 Program are also not eligible.
4. How to apply
Applications open at 7:00 AM ET on October 5, 2026 and close at 11:59 PM ET on October 11, 2026 (the "Application Period"). The Sponsor's server clock is the official timekeeper.
To apply, visit la100.run during the Application Period and complete the online application, including written responses about your goals, your story, and your commitment to training.
- Limit one application per person. Duplicate applications may be disqualified.
- Responses must be your own original work, in English, and must not include content that is offensive, unlawful, or infringes anyone's rights.
- Late, incomplete, or illegible applications will not be considered.
- The Sponsor is not responsible for technical failures, lost submissions, or website issues that prevent an application from being received.
5. Judging and selection
Each eligible application is reviewed by a panel of judges from Believe in the Run and Featherstone Nutrition. Judges read the applicant's three written responses and her running background (such as marathon experience and personal records), and give the application one overall score from 1 to 10 based on:
- Goals: a clear, meaningful goal for the LA Marathon and how the Program would help reach it
- Story: why this race matters to the applicant, what she brings, and what she's overcome or is working toward
- Commitment: readiness to follow the training and nutrition plans, join group calls, and see the Program through race day
Applicants choose their own training group (Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced) when they apply. Training group is used to assign coaching after selection and does not affect scoring or selection.
Process
- Applications are first screened for eligibility and completeness.
- Every judge reviews and scores every eligible application independently. Judges cannot see one another's scores until scoring is complete.
- Each application's scores from all judges are added together for a total score. The 100 applicants with the highest total scores are selected, regardless of training group.
- If applicants tie for a final spot, the applicant whose application was submitted first, as recorded by the Sponsor's server, is selected.
AI tools may assist the judges by flagging incomplete or ineligible applications, summarizing applications, and suggesting scores. Judges review each application, may change any suggested score, and make all final scoring and selection decisions.
All decisions of the judges are final. If fewer than 100 eligible applications are received, the Sponsor may select fewer participants. Runners of all experience levels are welcome to apply, and there is no minimum pace or race experience required.
6. What participants receive
Each of the 100 selected participants receives the package below, with a total approximate retail value (ARV) of $2,600 per participant. Total ARV of all 100 packages: $260,000.

Selected applicants will be notified by email on or about November 3, 2026. To accept, a selected applicant must reply within 5 days of notification. Applicants agree to the eligibility declaration, liability release, and publicity release by checking the required boxes when they apply.
If a selected applicant does not respond within 5 days, declines, or is found ineligible, she forfeits her spot, which may go to the next highest-scoring eligible applicant. All applicants, including those not selected, will be notified of their status by email on or about November 3, 2026.
8. Participation, publicity, and taxes
Participation. Participants agree to make a good-faith effort to follow their training and nutrition plans and join scheduled group calls. A participant who stops engaging may be removed from the Program at the Sponsor's discretion.
Publicity. Except where prohibited, acceptance gives the Sponsor and Featherstone permission to use a participant's name, photo, likeness, city, story, and application responses in Program content, including articles, video, podcasts, social media, and advertising, without further compensation. ASICS may use the same materials on its social media channels, in emails, and on its website, also without further compensation.
Taxes. Participants are responsible for any taxes on benefits received. If benefits provided by any single provider (the Sponsor, Featherstone, or ASICS) to a participant total $2,000 or more in a calendar year, that provider will require a completed IRS Form W-9 and will issue a Form 1099-MISC.
9. General terms
Health. Marathon training carries physical risk. Program content is general coaching, not medical advice. Participants should consult a physician before starting any training or nutrition program and participate at their own risk.
Release. By applying, applicants release the Sponsor, Featherstone, ASICS, and their affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any liability for injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in the Program or use of any benefit, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Changes. The Sponsor may modify, suspend, or cancel the Program if fraud, technical failure, or any other cause beyond their control affects its fair administration. The Sponsor may disqualify anyone who tampers with the application process or violates these rules.
Privacy. Information submitted is collected by the Sponsor and used to administer the Program, as described in the privacy policy. By applying, you agree that your application information, including your name and contact details, will be shared with ASICS for use in connection with the Program and as described in ASICS's privacy policy.
Disputes. These rules are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland. Any dispute will be resolved individually, without class action, in the state or federal courts located in Baltimore, Maryland.
