Terms of use

Last updated 11 September 2026.

Counsel has not reviewed these terms yet. They describe how the program and the platform actually work today, and they will be checked by a lawyer before applications open.

The short version

This site belongs to the LA100 program. Apply here if you want one of the 100 places. If you get one, this is where you train for the next sixteen weeks. Be honest on the form, be decent to the other ninety-nine, and remember that running a marathon is your own risk and that nothing on this site is medical advice. The rest of this page is the longer version of those four things.

Who runs this site

LA100 is run by Big Run Media, LLC and Featherstone Nutrition, Ltd., in partnership with ASICS. Tahosa Systems LLC built and operates this platform for them. When this page says "we" it means the program.

Using this site, applying, or holding a place means you accept these terms and the privacy policy.

Applying

  • You have to be eighteen or older to apply.
  • One application per person. The form is keyed on your email address, so a second application under the same address replaces nothing and will not be treated as a second entry.
  • Answer honestly. This is not a formality: your training paces are calculated from the race times you give us, so an optimistic personal record buys you sixteen weeks of the wrong training.
  • Applying is not a place. There are far more applicants than there are places, and selection is a judgement made by people, not a queue or a draw.
  • Applications close October 7, 2026. Every applicant hears back either way, on or around November 3, 2026.
  • The selection decision is ours to make, and it is final.
  • The waiver you accepted as part of the form is part of these terms.

The waiver refers to official rules for this application. Those rules are being finalised and will be linked here before applications open.

If you are selected

  • You get an invitation by email with a link and a deadline. If you do not answer by the deadline, the place is released and offered to the next runner in your training group.
  • Accepting means you are in for the sixteen weeks from November 16, 2026 through race day, March 7, 2027.
  • A place includes a race bib, sixteen weeks of run coaching from Meaghan Murray, sixteen weeks of nutrition coaching from Meghann Featherstun, the nutrition video library, direct messaging with both coaches, the community boards, weekly plans by email and text, and the race-day experience.
  • A place does not include travel or accommodation. Getting yourself to Los Angeles is on you.
  • You agree to race in ASICS shoes and apparel.
  • Your bib is yours and is not transferable. You cannot sell it, swap it, or pass it to a friend who can go instead.
  • If you cannot take part after all, tell us early. A place given back in good time goes to a woman who is waiting for it.
  • We can withdraw a place if these terms are broken, if the application turns out to be untrue, or if someone's behavior makes the group worse.

Your account

  • Your account is yours. Do not share your sign-in with anyone.
  • Keep your details accurate, particularly your email address, since that is where the decisions and the invitation go.
  • Tell us straight away if you think someone else has got into your account.
  • You can sign in with a password or with Google. Either is fine; neither is required in preference to the other.

Coaching and nutrition guidance are education, not medical care

This matters more than anything else on this page. Meaghan's training plans and Meghann's nutrition guidance are general education for healthy adults. They are not a diagnosis, not a prescription, and not a substitute for your own doctor or your own dietitian.

  • Talk to a doctor before you start training, especially if you have a condition, an injury, or you are coming back from one.
  • If something hurts, stop and get it looked at. Do not train through it because the calendar says so.
  • Any nutrition change you make, you make of your own free will, which is what the waiver you accepted says too.
  • The coaches will not advise past general practice on anything medical. If you raise something that needs a professional, they will tell you to see one.
  • Replies from a coach may start as a draft written by software. A coach reads every draft and sends it herself, so what reaches you is her answer, but it is still general guidance, not care.

The boards and the messages

The community boards and the coach messages are the part of this platform that only works if everyone behaves. The rules are short:

  • No harassment, no abuse, no hate.
  • No spam, no selling, no recruiting for anything.
  • Do not share another runner's private information, screenshots of her messages, or anything she told the group in confidence.
  • Do not give other runners medical advice.
  • What you post is visible to the runners in your group and to the coaches. Post accordingly.
  • Coaches and the program team can read every board and every message thread. There is no private corner of this platform that they cannot see.

Posts can be hidden, and a place can be withdrawn. We would much rather have a conversation first, and usually will.

What you write, and what we may use

Your words stay yours. By taking part you give the program permission to use your name, your results, your image, and what you have written for program and media purposes, which is the same permission the waiver on the application form asks for. We will not use your private messages to a coach this way.

The site itself

  • The training plans, the nutrition videos, the written guidance, and the brand marks belong to the program and its partners. They are for your own use in this program. Do not republish them, post them elsewhere, or pass them to someone who is not in the program.
  • Do not scrape the site, do not try to reach other people's data, and do not attack the platform. It is a small site run for a hundred people, and there is nothing clever waiting on the other side of it.
  • We may change, add, or switch off features while the program runs. Anything that changes what you are owed will be explained rather than dropped on you.

Email and texts

While your application is live and while you hold a place, we will email you about it. That email is part of the program, not marketing, and you cannot turn it off without withdrawing. Texts are different: they are opt in, and you can stop them at any time by replying STOP. The details are in the privacy policy.

Where our responsibility ends

The site is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and accurate, and we cannot promise it never breaks, never loses a day of your training log, or is never briefly offline. If something goes wrong we will fix it and tell you.

Training and racing are physical activities you undertake at your own risk. The waiver you accepted covers that, and nothing here replaces it.

The limits on liability, the governing law, and how any dispute would be settled are still being drafted and will appear here before applications open.

Changes to these terms

If we change them, the date at the top changes with them. If a change affects what a place includes or what is asked of you, we will email the runners it affects.
